NEW PURPOSE.
A discarded board can become a classroom, a confidence boost, a creative outlet—or somebody’s first real connection to the ocean.
Squirrels Second Wave Surfboards rescues unwanted boards and puts the process of restoring them in the hands of youth, surf and ocean therapy participants, and neighbors who deserve access to the craft.

02 THE SECOND WAVE
FROM BEAT-UP
TO BEAUTIFUL.
No velvet ropes. This is a working surfboard factory and an open invitation to learn by doing.
Rescue it
Used and unwanted boards get pulled out of storage, garages, and the waste stream.
Rework it
Participants learn repair, shaping, problem solving, and the patience behind real craftsmanship.
Return it
The finished board goes back toward the water—with a new story and a new rider.
